SYNOPSIS

Pride and Prejudice, a play by Kate Hamill based on the classic novel by Jane Austen at the James Theatre in Iowa City

Crooked Path revisits the world of Jane Austen after a romp through Sense and Sensibility by the same author. With considerable wit, sumptous design (including outdoor metal flowers to signal the coming spring by Justin Wisdom). Costume designer Jill Van Brussel made every character look divine, especially under Lighting designer Scott Olinger’s lighting and on Shawn Johnson’s set.  (Thank you to the James for letting us paint the floor!)  Our first co-production with Cornell College Theatre, this was a delight from start to finish.   Tickets available here!
